No applause. Just opinions.

So here we are, one week into the young MLB season.

There is one team left without a win. Can you take a guess as to who it is? Well if you read the title, you already know who it is.

(Edit: I’m wrong, the former AL East champion Rays are also winless, whoops my bad.)

Seriously, though? What is the deal? I will try to go about this like a neutral party as best I can, because I’ll be honest, I hate the Red Sox.

They were swept by the Rangers. OK fine, they did win the AL Pennant last year, so that could have been possibly predicted. The Sox then got swept by, wait a minute…. the Indians? I predicted the Indians to sit in the basement of their division this year, so this doesn’t really bode well for Red Sox nation.  Yes, there are 156 games left. Yes the Red Sox are still a good team (at least on paper). Yes, I still believe they are capable of winning the wild card.

But what if they get swept by the Yankees this upcoming weekend? You better believe I am hoping for this, but in all seriousness if the Sox go 0-9, then what? Do they shift up the rotation? Do they switch the batting order? Do they send down all their starters and call up the triple A team? The latter obviously won’t happen, because if it does Tito will be digging his own grave. If the Red Sox go 0-9 you better believe that Francona will most definitely be on the hot seat, even though he helped win the franchise two championships in the past seven years.

What are your thoughts about the current Red Sox implosion?

They are also badmouthing Crawford in the Boston papers already. We all know Boston’s stance on African American players, but come on.
